Chapter 1 – The Wellspring of Harmony

Sound 1.1: Pure tone Concert A (440 Hz).

Sound 1.2: Pure Tone, Flute, Oboe, then Violin, all playing Concert A (440 Hz).

Sound 1.3: Pure Tone, two Pure Tones, Trumpet, two Trumpets, all playing Concert A (440 Hz).

Sound 1.4: Two Pure Tones: one at 440 Hz (Concert A), one at 441 Hz.

Sound 1.5: Two Pure Tones: one at Concert A (440 Hz), the second one starts at Concert A, then glides sharp to 444 Hz, then glides back to 440 Hz.

Sound 1.6: Two Pure Tones: one at 440 Hz (Concert A), the other at 444 Hz.

Sound 1.7: Wood Blocks, playing a measure of quarter notes at quarter note = 60, then a measure of eighth notes, then 16th notes, etc., to a measure of 256th notes.

Sound 1.8: Two Pure Tones: one holds Concert A (440 Hz), while the second plays 441 Hz, then 442 Hz, then 444 Hz, 448 Hz, 456 Hz, 472 Hz, and so on.

Sound 1.9: Two Pure Tones: one holds Concert A (440 Hz), the second starts on Concert A and glides up a major third to 550 Hz.

Sound 1.10: Two Pure Tones: one holds Concert A (440 Hz), the other starts at Concert A then glides an octave higher.

Sound 1.11: Four Pure Tones: one holds concert A (440 Hz), the second starts at Concert A then glides up an octave, the third reinforces the difference tone, the fourth reinforces the other combination tone.

Sound 1.12: Two Pure Tones: one holds Concert A (440 Hz), the other starts an octave higher (880 Hz) and glides up two more octaves (to 3520 Hz).
